August 16th started out a little overcast, but that didnt put you off!! 172 horses and riders set out on the ride, which this year, took us through The Godinton Park Estate grounds.
WE had the jumps about 15 mins into the ride, where Andrew Gilham captured some great photos. These can be seen on his website, www.andrewgilham.co.uk.
A well earned BBQ greated us when we got back, run as always by Alan and Liz.
Stewarding this year was provided by The Folkestone Cadets.
Many thanks go to The Goddard Family, John Smith, Peter Howard and The Godinton Estate for allowing us across their land, and also our sponsors, NFU mutual, Hobbs Parker, David brightling Horse transport, Wye saddley, Stevenson Bros, Clip Clop, and John Pagwe Trailers.
We have donated £2400 this year to kent Air Ambulance, which takes our total to them to £7200.

Next years ride will be on August 15th 2010.

P.S I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that as soon as the last horsebox had left, the cow managed to get up and take her baby back to the herd!! I think she was just enjoying being involved in the day!!!
